Sock Wars — Somebody Stop Me

Oh Lordy, I LOVE this idea . I am not an accomplished sock knitter, nor am I lacking in projects, but I like a community challenge, and this one would guarantee me a pair of hand-knitted socks at the end!

Cable Scarf

Cable Scarf Originally uploaded by jwordsmith. This is the yarn from Shady Side Farm Studio, wot I bought last month at the Knit and Crochet Show. There are many other things I should be knitting right now, but I needed to play with this. It is delicious. And, much as I like the pattern (from… Continue reading Cable Scarf

Addicted Again

Now that a couple of weeks have passed I’m back to squeezing my knitting in around other jobs like looking after my… Continue reading Addicted Again

Harlotry

I can’t tell you how much I want, this afternoon, to go to see the Yarn Harlot. She’s coming to a bookstore not quite near me. I’m making good progress on the Husband Socks. Assuming they fit him…Will… Continue reading Snow For The Winter Olympics

The Knitsanity Begins

Due to some confusion about when I was supposed to start (and the fact that NBC presented their coverage as if they Olympics were starting at 8pm EST, which was odd, really, since I KNOW that’s 2AM in Turin) I lost a whole five hours and the feeling of solidarity of starting with thousands of… Continue reading The Knitsanity Begins
