I've been telling stories forever. Luckily I grew up and people stopped calling them 'lies'.
I started earning money for my writing in newspapers and magazines, then business writing. I'm rediscovering the creative side these days.
This is where I share what I'm learning about writing...
...And other stuff about my life as a human, a mother, an ex-pat, a cook, a gardener, a knitter, and all the rest. I don't talk about being a wife much, because my husband's a bit shy.

I wondered where you got the name Cedar McGee. My 9 year old son has that name. Is that your child’s name too. Just curious. He hasn’t met any other Cedars yet.
Thanks for writing. How funny.
This is the first and middle names of my friends’ son. (I gather the “McGee” is a family name, although it might be McGhee now that I think about it). This Cedar just turned two.
They liked the name Cedar because, in part, of the way that cedar trees grow: with their roots intertwined to lend strength to the others in their grove. Why did you choose it?
